Large Button Phone
Phones for the Visually Impaired

A large button phone makes it easier to stay in touch with friends and family without the frustration of trying to see the numbers.

Big Button Phone

My father-in-law who had wet macular degeneration was finding it difficult to see the numbers to dial on their regular phone.

When we found out that he would often have my mother-in-law dial the phone for him we quickly offered some options for him to keep his independence.

Corded Big Button Phone

You will find extra large numbers and high contrast bold colored numbers on low vision phones - making them easy to see and use to stay in touch with friends and family. This is the one we purchased for my father-in-law who had wet macular degeneration and wore hearing aids.  It features:

phones for the visually impaired

√ Large Numbers

on Key Pad

√ High Contrasted Numbers - Brilliant white buttons with deep, dark black numbers OR black buttons with white numbers

√ Lighted Key Pad

√ Talk Back Keypad numbers

√ Amplify Outgoing and Incoming Voice

√ Speed Dial Capabilities for calling those that you talk to frequently

√ Light flashes on and off when a call is coming in

This one talks back the keypad number after it is pressed. It also has other features he likes, like amplification and one touch memory dialing.

As you can see the actual key pads are much larger on a corded low vision phone as are the numbers. This one has the added feature of a backlight which illuminates the numbers.

You can also program the phone so that a simple press of the button will call the person whose picture is displayed.  This phone offers 9 speed dial photo display buttons.

For my father-in-law who is also hard of hearing the amplified sound has proven to improve his ability to keep up with our conversations. Either press or program the  blue Boost button so that the sound is amplified.

See the red area across the bottom of the phone?  It lights up when a call is coming in. We purchased ours at Amazon here:
