Blue Light and Macular Degeneration
August 20, 2020
Hello

Blue Light and Macular Degeneration

Light and lighting is a big concern for anyone who has macular degeneration, as well as for those who are interested in preventing this retinal condition. While we need light to see, we also need to protect our eyes from some of the damage that light can cause.

Most everyone is familiar with ultra-violet light and knows about the importance of wearing sunglasses, but less people are familiar with the hazard of blue light.

Dan Roberts, the director of www.MDSupport.org and the author of The First Year: Age-Related Macular Degeneration: An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed shares with us some of his research on this less understood light and his thoughts on what lights are safe and not so safe for those with less than perfect maculas.

Find out more about what Dan Roberts has to say about blue light and optimal lighting for those with macular degeneration....
