What do I have?
I’m 73, live alone & still working. About 6 months ago I was told by the ophthalmologist I had advanced/severe ARMD. I had been referred to her by my optometrist for cataract surgery.
After having a retinal scan I was told I had 2 large hard drusen in the right eye & 1 in the left. After bilateral cataract surgery my vision is now normal. I’ve had two optometrist tell me I don’t have AMD because I have normal vision but they can see the drusen.
I feel like a walking time bomb. What do I have? I’m taking AREDS2 & trying to wear sunglasses which I hate. The decision of relocating closer to my 2 boys is weighing heavy on my mind because I have no family close by. Thx for sharing your experiences.
