Pocket Magnifier

A pocket magnifier is a handy visual aid for those with macular degeneration.

Wallet Magnifier

There are many small, compact magnifiers that you can easily put in your purse, your wallet or your pocket. A wallet magnifier is lightweight and portable. If you have macular degeneration keep one with you in your wallet or purse at all times.

They are great for reading menus and labels, checking prices, reading your receipt or checking instructions.

Not only are these magnifiers handy for when you are leaving the house, they are great while you are at home too. Need to read a prescription bottle or the label on a can? No need to be searching for a magnifier, when you have one right in your pocket. Amazon and Maxiaids carries a nice assortment of lighted hand held magnifying glasses.

They come in power ranges of 2X - 7X. Remember as your macular degeneration progresses you will need more magnification and more light. However, with better lighting, you can use a less powerful magnifier.

You will need different magnifiers for different tasks. These lighted magnifiers are nice to take with you wherever you go.
