My Husband's AMD
My husband is 85 and has primarily dry AMD in both eyes but with some moist areas. He has been having the injections for about five years to slow the progress but this past week the doctor told him that one eye had no reading vision.
He still has some minimal vision from that eye. He can read with the other eye. The doctor is continuing injections to both eyes to prevent more moist areas from forming. It's all depressing and somewhat confusing, eg, is there anything new out there to help? How much longer before he can't see to drive? He takes Preservision vitamins and prescription eye drops. Very upsetting time in life.
