Macular Degeneration, Exercise and Diet

I was diagnosed three years ago with excess drusen.
This was followed two years later with a diagnosis of dry macular degeneration.
About a month later, I noticed a change while using the Amsler Gridand returned to the retinal specialist and was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration in my left eye.
I have had 5 injections of Lucentis and things have stabilized.
I am combating further degeneration with additional exercise, walking alternating with jogging for an hour a day, AREDS 2 vitamins and a nightly "smoothie cocktail" made up of kale, banana, apple cider and ice.
I have not had any further degeneration for over a year. My eyesight does change slightly from month to month, with vision going up and down.
I keep a record of these changes to insure that there is no long term degradation of sight or increase in pressure. Requesting copies of my doctors monthly exam results and graphing these results helps me stay abreast of any changes.
