Low Vision Phone

Low vision phones have extra large numbers that are in bold print so that they are easy to see and use.

Large Button Phone

A large button phone is a type of visual aid for macular degeneration. The large, bold colored numbers are easier to see, easier to use and to stay in touch with friends and family.

Some of the helpful features offered on a large button phone are:

√ Large Numbers on Key Pad

√ High Contrasted Numbers - Brilliant white buttons with deep, dark black numbers

√ Lighted Key Pad

√ Talk Back Keypad numbers

√ Talking Caller-ID.

If you have macular degeneration or low vision, it can be a strain to read the caller-ID on most phones. But with the talking caller-ID the name and the number of the caller is spoken in a clear, easy to understand voice.

√ Speed Dial Capabilities for calling those that you talk to frequently

√ Talking phone book

Review

A Good Basic Desktop Phone

"I needed a large display, big button, corded desk phone with speaker. I couldn't do any better than with the GE 29569GE1 phone. The sound quality is great whether using the handset or the speaker.

The large display can be read even without my reading glasses. It has call-waiting in addition to the caller ID option. It doesn't take up a great amount of space and, in short, I am very satisfied."

Large Print Address Book

Large print address books are helpful for looking up the numbers that are not programmed into your speed dial.

It is much easier to look up the number to your dentist or hairdresser in a large print address book than it is to look it up in a tiny print telephone book.

They can range in price from $10 to $25.
