You can switch from reading to listening very easily. Let's say you are reading a book you have downloaded and your eyes are getting tired, just flip a switch and the Kindle will read the book to you. Now it is a computer generated voice, which means it's not as good as a professionally reader, but it isn't bad. 2. Download Audio Books to Your Kindle I joined the Audible program at Amazon because it offered two free audio books. It's a great way to test the waters to see if this program is good for you. The advantage of paying for your audio books is that they are read by professional readers - meaning that the quality is much better than a computer generated voice or a volunteer reader.
