Alvita Bilberry Tea is another way to experience the benefits of bilberry. Enjoy a cup of tea while benefiting your health.

Bilberry Health Benefits

The flavonoid, anthocyanididins, found in the bilberry provides the blue color of the berry and is the main active ingredient of this plant.

It is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants play a critical role in protecting our eyes, especially the macula.

This particular antioxidant, anthocyanin, appears to have the effect of:

fortifying blood-vessel walls,

improving blood flow and

improving oxygen delivery

to the tiny blood vessels that keep eyes healthy, as well as helping to maintain good circulation.

The dark blue skin of the berry contains anthocyanins which may increase the retinal pigment.

Because this tea is caffeine free, I enjoy the smooth and fruity taste of this tea in the evening.
