A MIRACLE STORY - A HAPPY ENDING

Three years ago I was told by a macular specialist at a very respected hospital that I had severe Macular Degeneration. It was the dry type.
I asked him if it would help my vision if I had my cataracts removed. His answer was "Remove your cataracts? Are you crazy? YOU ARE GOING TO BE BLIND BY THE END OF THIS YEAR!!"
I read your paper on macular degeneration. I took lutein. I took complete vitamins, I ate huge bags of dark greens (southern greens or kale cooked with onions and garlic.)
I ate fish and took fish oil tablets.
I exercised regularly. I never left the house without my sunglasses (blue blockers)and a hat that shielded my eyes from the sun. I even wear my sunglasses at the indoor pool where I exercise because of the glare from the windows.
I changed my diet to include lots of sweet potatoes and squash, red and yellow peppers, blueberries and other fruit, spinach and broccoli. I also take herbal supplements such as bilberries curcumin, and ginger. I use cinnamon as a spice often.
THE GOOD NEWS: At my last visit to a new macular specialist, he was astonished at the fact that my eyes had not progressed toward wet macular degeneration, but he actually saw improvement in my dry macular degeneration.
He was so elated that he told me I need only see him once a year from now on. Also, he said that I should start thinking about having my cataracts removed by my regular eye doctor.
THE HAPPY ENDING: Yesterday I had my cataract removed. My whole world is brighter! And I can see without my glasses! I must have done something right!!!
