A brief experience ... ... ...with age related macular degeneration.

I am 73 yrs and find age related macular degeneration (AMD) an exciting challenge.
OK, I can not work with Stained Glass, do Wood Carving, or Drive the Car, but there is still enough left of my eye sight, to converse with friends, garden, prepare and cook meals and read.
And technology has caught up with my impaired vision, on a computer I can zoom to my hearts content, the Kindle reader enables me to enjoy reading old detective stories, and I have on my tablet computer a magnification app: enabling me to read product labels.
So, whats next, I want QD codes to take me directly to a description of the product I am examining.
And, please tell me where I can find Eccentric Reading for Dummies?, because that will be my next challenge.
People mourn about what I can not do, I am excited about what there is that I can do, and I am not anywhere near to finishing yet..

Thank you Henry. Your attitude is so refreshing. You are finding new ways to do old things or new things to do to replace your old hobbies.
How uplifting! It's a reminder for all of us to try and think positive. Thanks for bringing a smile my way and reminding me that just because I misjudged the placement of a large jar of pickles on an outside table while bringing in the groceries, causing them to drop onto the concrete and splatter here and there, spilling the best part of a quart of chocolate milk in the fridge, dealing with a stopped up kitchen sink, trying to reset a mousetrap for a mouse that invaded my kitchen counter this week, that there are still avenues to explore.
I am so delighted to have found this website and with the aid of a built in magnifyer I look forward to many more times of being in touch with those who bring joy to our lives and offer new ways of living life to the fullest.
